Journey to Contentment

Welcome Back: Life Update

Singing “Guess who’s back, back again, Charna’s back, tell a friend. Guess who’s back, guess who’s back, guess who’s back!” If only you guys can see how I’m dancing right now. I am so excited to be back blogging. There have been several attempts to relaunch Journey to Contentment and I’ve finally reached the right time and the right season. Getting back into the rhythm of things didn’t feel forced, the ideas and the new vision for how to present it to an audience came effortlessly. Now actually getting this website up and running… not so effortless.

Many things have occurred in the past 3 years so I wasn’t quite sure how to come back. Should I just start back from where I left off, or should I just move forward with where I am now but including occasional updates 🤔. You all let me know what you would prefer. The great thing about this new platform is the fact that there are a lot more ways to interact with you all. So leave a comment, subscribe, send me a message, don’t just come to read but as I said in my about section, let’s learn and grow together! Feel free to provide recommendations on things to write about and if it resonates with me I’ll definitely add it to my list.

Though a lot of things has changed, one thing for sure that hasn’t changed was my journey to contentment. The journey never ended, I was just no longer documenting it. Change brings about adjustments and challenges and with the many changes that occurred I had to make many adjustments. In the past 3 years, I’ve become an educator, gotten engaged, gotten married, and been given more responsibilities in my church. My journey to contentment has taken another turn because in the midst of it all I have to still stay true to who I am and try not to fall back into a place of “who am I?” I still have to remind myself of God’s word and not compare my expectations to my reality. I am still my own worst critic but I have come far from where I was 3 years ago. I discover new parts of me every day, the good, bad, and the ugly.

Journey to contentment is just me boasting in my weaknesses while I continue to remember that He, God, is #stillsovereign
(yes I’ll still be ending every blog with #stillsovereign)

P.S. check out the rest of the site to learn more about Still Sovereign and it’s purpose
