**Long post alert** When my husband told me that

**Long post alert** When my husband told me that he wanted to go to New York to have a photo shoot with @tclayton_photography I wasn't fully onboard. The timing wasn't right, we needed to prioritize our expenses to different things.
"Babe there is so much going on in our life right now, I really don't think it's a good idea for us to go to New York"
He listened, even agreed, but something in him felt like he needed to go. He planned and moved forward with the trip anyway and I followed. I didn't understand AT ALL but I went. While I was there and I watched my husband behind the camera as we walked through the streets of New York. I saw how alive and free he looked. Watching him run back into the hotel room excited to start editing and even annoyed when shots didn't come out as planned. We came back home and I listened to him go on and on about camera specs and lighting and all these other things that I don't understand. Since we've been back I've noticed that my husband is on his own journey to contentment. I see all of the symptoms and side effects that I too went through. I see him warring with what he feels like he needs to do and what everyone else (including me) wants him to do. I see him trying to establish boundaries, being unsuccessful, yet trying again. He is on a journey of self discovery and to be honest isn't the easiest thing to go through when so many people are depending on you and looking at you asking "so what now?" I say all that to say... I get it now. We are learning, growing, and trying to find our way. My prayer to the Lord is that His Holy Spirit guide me in helping to cultivate and encourage While he goes through his journey and not tear down due to my frustrations. I used to wait until I got all dressed up to take pictures but yall gonna get all this fresh face, twisted hair, comfortable attire goodness cause this is me 90% of the time 😁 P.s the last pic was my masterpiece, I did good for my first time😁
